Tania Liu

Tania Liu is a Founding Advisor of Progress Toronto. Tania is an organizer with United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) and a member of UFCW Canada Political Action & Legislative Affairs Committee.

Prior to joining UFCW, Tania worked for progressive politicians at the municipal and federal levels, as well as on a number of election campaigns across the GTA. During her time in the City Councillors’ and the Member of Parliament’s offices, Tania worked extensively with constituents and local community groups on community development, environment, housing and immigration issues.

Tania is also a past board member of Social Planning Toronto. As a member of the Toronto & York Region Labour Council Chinese Workers Network steering committee, Tania has been involved in organizing union activists in the Chinese Canadian community and engaging them politically. Tania holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics specialist) from the University of Toronto.
